Schalke are a team that ships a lot of goals recently – they have conceded three or more goals in their last three games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Werder were on a great goalscoring run before they drew three games in a row with the scoreline of 1:1. If they want to compete for the Europa League spot, they need to return to that form, and what better opponent to do that against than Schalke.
