Now that the Serie A summer transfer window is open, we can look at what transfers are happening around Italy including signings and departures from Italy’s biggest clubs including Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli, SS Lazio, AS Roma and Inter Milan. After Juventus won the Serie A title last year, these teams will be desperate to dethrone the extremely successful Juventus side.

Latest Juventus Transfers

After signing Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, Juventus look to show no signs of slowing down. So far, they’ve signed young Italian left-back Luca Pellegrini from AS Roma for £19.8m along with two free transfers in PSG’s Adrien Rabiot and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey. They’re linked with signing Dutch sensation Matthijs De Ligt in a deal reportedly around £75m along with Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic from SS Lazio for roughly the same price. They are bringing back Gianluigi Buffon back to the club after the Italian’s contract expired this summer at French Champions Paris Saint Germain.

They’ve sold a whole load of Italian players so far this summer including Leonardo Spinazzola, Emil Audero, Stefano Stuaro, Riccardo Orsolini, Alberto Cerri and Andrea Favilli for a combined cost of £93m. The fans will be pleased that the club have offloaded the deadweight for such an inflated price as they look to bring in world-class talent. After Joao Cancelo was linked with a deal to join English Champions Manchester City, the club may have to look at bringing in another world-class right back to make up for the loss of the Portuguese defender.

AS Roma new Players

AS Roma have had a disappointing summer so far, however, they’ve brought in Leonardo Spinazzola from Juventus for £26.55m, Amadou Diawara from Napoli for £18.9m along with Bryan Cristante from Atalanta for £18.9m. They’ve sold their best defender in Kostas Manolas to Napoli for £32.4m, Luca Pellegrini to Juventus for £19.8m and Ezequiel Ponce to Spartak Moscow for £2.7m. They’ll need to replace these players as soon as possible, or they could be facing a poor finish in next season’s Serie A.

They could look at offloading Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen and Lorenzo Pellegrini along with star youngster in Nicolo Zaniolo to raise funds for incoming transfers this summer. They’ve been interested in Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld for a while now and could be tempted to make a bid for him this summer. Davide Zappacosta and Fred have both been linked to moves away from the Premier League this summer and AS Roma are reportedly interested in both.

Inter Milan News

Is Romelu Lukaku leaving Manchester United?

Inter Milan look to have a busy summer, they seem to be tired of Mauro Icardi’s off the field problems and are looking to replace him with Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku. Ivan Perisic has been linked with a move away from Inter Milan for years now; he could finally make his move as the club could decide to cash in. They’ve already bought Valentino Lazaro from Hertha Berlin for £19.8m along with Sassuolo attacker Matteo Politano for £18m. They’ve sold Andrea Pinamonti to Genoa for £16.2m but will have to make more sales if they are to spend much more this summer.

Transfer Market News – Milan

AC Milan have been in financial trouble this summer, FFP have banned them from this season’s Europa League, and further sanctions may follow if they don’t sell some players. Paris Saint Germain have reportedly been enquiring about the availability of Gianluigi Donnarruma and Lucas Paqueta along with Barcelona reportedly making an offer for Swiss right-back Ricardo Rodriguez. There doesn’t look to be too many incoming transfers this summer since the club is struggling with FFP problems.

Lazio Transfer News and Rumours

Lazio look destined to lose Sergej Milinkovic Savic this summer to either one of Paris Saint Germain or Juventus and will have to use the £75m reported fee smartly if they are to do well next season. They’ve already brought in a young Portuguese talent in Pedro Neto from Braga for £7.65m along with Bruno Jordao also from Braga for £4.05m. They’ll need to splash the cash if they do manage to get a big transfer fee for Sergej Milinkovic Savic.
