Betrino Review – The New Kid on the Betting Block
Betrino is a bookie that we have never come across before, so before we can even think about recommending them, it is important that we put them through their paces.
We will cover everything from opening an account, claiming the welcome bonus and placing the initial bet to checking their licence, reputation and customer support. Make sure to check out how Betrino stacks up against other betting sites.
- Wide variety of sports
- Minimum deposit £10-£20
- Live betting
- Numerous promotions for existing customers
- 24/7 Live Chat
- Easy to navigate website

How to Open a Betrino Account
Opening a Betrino account is straightforward enough, there is a 3-step process, which starts by clicking the “Join Now” button in the top right-hand corner of the website.
- First step – The registration process requires you to enter your email address, a password and your telephone number along with ticking the box to confirm you have read the terms and conditions and the privacy policy. We have read them and confirm that they are the standard offering that you see across most bookies.
- Second step – At this stage of the registration process, you have to enter your name, date of birth and gender.
- Third step – For the last step, you will just need to enter your name, address, currency and promotion code in order to claim the welcome bonus. At the time of writing, the welcome bonus code is BB50.
Once the registration is complete, you will be automatically directed to the payments page where you will be asked to enter your payment details in order to make a deposit. You will also receive two welcome emails: one which gives details of the welcome bonus, and the other covers Betrino’s responsible gambling policy.
Betrino will carry out an automatic verification check, if this is not successful you will be asked to send in documentation to prove that you are who you say you are and that you are over 18 years of age.
Betrino Is Fully Licenced and Regulated
We are only really concerned about the UK Gambling Commission licence. Betrino is fully licensed, so there is nothing to worry about there, but on looking at their licence, it is apparent that this is a site of ProgressPlay LTD, so we will bear that in mind when carrying out the rest of our Betrino review.
There have been some complaints within the online gambling industry about this group regarding welcome bonus T&C’s along with verification issues so this is something that we will look at closely. A positive point is that it looks like Betrino UK takes responsible gambling seriously, going by the welcome email and the links to GamCare and GambleAware on their website.
Thoughts About The Welcome Bonus

At first sight, the Betrino welcome bonus looks very good. Deposit and bet £25 to receive a £50 bonus, but after reading the terms and conditions, it could be a case of, ”if something looks too good to be true, it probably is”. That way of looking at the welcome bonus may sound a little harsh, so please allow us to explain why we feel this way.
To begin with, the qualifying bet is Stake Not Returned (SNR). In other words, if you place a £25 bet on a selection with odds of 5/1 (6.0) and the selection wins, you will only receive a payout of £50 instead of the £60 you would have received if this was a normal bet.

Whilst SNR is common with free bets, it is not usual with qualifying bets but is standard with ProgressPlay bookies, of which Betrino is one. The free bet is awarded on settlement of the qualifying bet and has to be wagered 1x before withdrawal, but here’s the kicker: the maximum amount that can be withdrawn from the free bet is only £200. For some punters, this would not be an issue, but it is definitely something that you should bear in mind if you are thinking of taking advantage of this offer.
Betrino does have a range of promotions for existing customers, which can be found under the “Promotions” tab on the website. Most of them have a cashback structure, i.e., bet £20, and you will get back a percentage of your deposit losses depending on the amount you wagered up to a maximum of £500 with the 10% cashback.
These promotions change on a regular basis depending on the sporting events that are taking place. Still, we must emphasise that it is important that you take the time to read the terms and conditions associated with these promotions, as they could mean that an offer is not as attractive as it first seems.
There is also a Rewards Programme that offers free bets and various bonuses depending on the number and size of bets placed.
A Well Designed Website
We have got no problems whatsoever with the design and punctuality of the Betrino website. It has a clean design, and we had no problems when looking at the website for the first time, registering a new account and then logging in, etc.
The sports betting part of the Betrino website is loaded by default, but there are also options at the top of the website to access the casino. One particular aspect that is pretty confusing is the “Live” button. We assumed that this would load up the “In-play” section of the website, but instead, it points to live casino games.
The different sports are listed clearly so it is easy to find the sport and then the market you would like to place a bet on.
Placing a Bet – All You Need to Know
As with most online bookies, placing a bet is simply a case of finding your selection, clicking the odds and a betting slip will automatically open, containing the selection. There is a box at the bottom of the “Bet Slip” where you enter the stake. If you enter more than one selection, there is the option to either place each bet as a single or combine them as a “Multiple” or a “System” bet.
One particular aspect of the betting slip that we found interesting is the “Always Ask” drop-down menu at the top of the slip. There are three options when you click on it, “Always ask”, “Accept Higher Odds” and “Accept Any Odds”. We would definitely advise against the “Accept Any Odds” option, as you may end up placing a bet that would still be placed even if the odds dropped dramatically.
We were actually very impressed by how well the betting slip works. It is very slick and leaves little room for error.
Payment Options
Betrino has a decent selection of deposit options, which include Visa, PayPal, PayviaPhone, Bank Transfer, paysafecard, Skrill, NETELLER and Payz.
Bear in mind that if you are making a deposit with a view to claiming the welcome bonus, deposits made by Skrill and NETELLER do not qualify. There is a minimum deposit requirement of £10 across all payment methods apart from Skrill, NETELLER and Payz, which is £20. Deposits are instant, but the withdrawal times are longer than you are probably used to, 1 business day with Skrill and Payz being 2 – 3 days.

Apart from the slow processing times, another niggle with the Betino withdrawals is that there is a fee involved. The fee may only be 1% up to £3, but it still amazes us that some bookies do charge for what is an essential service. Can you imagine the uproar if bet365 or William Hill started charging for withdrawals?
When it comes to making a deposit into your Betrino account, you can either click on the payment card icon (Cashier), which can be found on the left-hand menu on the website or click on the “Deposit” option next to the displayed balance in the top right-hand corner of the website. From there, you will be taken to the “Payments Page”, where you choose a payment method and enter the details (debit card number, for example) along with the amount you wish to deposit.
There is a space to enter any deposit code and make sure you clock on the “Validate” button next to the deposit amount to ensure that you are using a validated code.
To make a withdrawal, go back to the cashier, enter the amount you would like to withdraw as well as the payment method and click on the “Withdrawal” button. The fee will automatically be taken off the withdrawal amount.

Adequate Selection of Markets
For the average punter, Betrino has a more than adequate selection of markets to place bets on. For example, if you click on a football match, the different betting categories are listed underneath the match details. A number next to each category defines the number of markets in each category.
From our experience, there are not as many markets when compared to bet365, for example, but we don’t see this as a problem at all. If you click on any of the sports that are listed in the index on the left-hand side of the website and then on a particular event, you will see the different betting markets that are available.
Sports for Every Taste

Football is obviously the most popular sport to place bets on for the UK punters and we can’t fault the betting options related to it. Football is available in so many leagues from across the world that you won’t find yourself struggling to find a match to place a bet on.
There is also a massive range of sports to choose from, even sports such as Sumo, Pool and Rink Hockey (whatever that is) are available to bet on. Something we found confusing was when we looked for horse racing coverage, there was no link to horse racing in the index, only a link to future events such as National Hunt, Cheltenham and Flat Racing.
We later discovered that there is a link to the days racing at the top of the “Sports” section of the website and to be honest, we were impressed by the horse racing coverage, well laid out, and all meetings covered.
Live Betting Options – A Must-Have Feature for Sports Bookies
Once inside the “Sports” section of the website, you will see a purple “Live” button, so click on that and two options appear in the drop-down menu, “Event View” and “Live Calendar”.
The “Event View” takes you to the live betting events taking place at that particular point in time, while the “Live Calendar” lists upcoming live betting events. Live Streaming is not available at Betrino, but that is not a deal breaker for us, as we never rely on live streams when placing bets.
Betrino Mobile Experience – Smooth Navigation Without a Native App
- Easy to navigate
- Well designed
- Bonuses and promos can be used on mobile version of the website
- Very responsive when placing bets
As with all ProgressPlay LTD betting sites, Betrino doesn’t have a native app. However, the site loads well on mobile devices, and as you would expect, the same login details are used for the mobile version as the desktop version. It is easy to navigate, and we had no problem at all looking for specific selections in the horse racing and football betting markets.
The welcome bonus and reload promotions can all be claimed and used on the mobile version of the website, and even though an app would be preferred, we don’t feel the absence of a native app is a big deal.
Betrino UK – Committed to Responsible Gambling
Fully licenced and authorised by the UK Gambling Commission, so everything is above board on that score, i.e., encryption and the protection of customers’ funds and personal information. There is an emphasis on responsible gambling, which, even though it is part of the regulatory terms, Betrino do seem to go above and beyond what is expected of them.
On checking their listing on the UK Gambling Commission website, we were surprised to see a Regulatory Action concerning responsible gambling for which they were fined, but that was back in 2022 and it looks like there have been no problems since then.
Customer Care – Could Be Better
Customer support is available by live chat and email, with live chat being our preferred method every time. Unfortunately, we found the live chat to be lacking in knowledge and the three times we contacted them, the support agents were unable to answer pretty basic questions about the welcome bonus. They did get there eventually but it did take longer than it should have done to get an answer.
There is also an annoying chatbot that you have to deal with before getting put through to an agent, but that is becoming part of the course with bookie support these days, even though it must be said that some chatbots are better than others.
Final Verdict on Betrino
Our experience of opening an account and placing a few bets with Betrino was not particularly bad. It is just that there are plenty of other bookies that are far better. We were not happy about the terms and conditions of the welcome bonus, the qualifying bet being Stake Not Returned and a maximum winning cap from this bonus of £200.
It is a perfect example of why reading the T&Cs of a welcome bonus is so important because we can see many punters seeing what looks like an attractive bonus, jumping in and falling foul to the restrictions.
The withdrawal charges are also annoying, but on the plus side, this is a well laid out website which is very easy to navigate. We were surprised by how flawless the betting slip worked, and we were able to place bets quickly and without any fuss.
All in all, this is a bookie that is worth opening an account with, but be aware of the factors that we have spoken about in this Betrino review.
